Summer Breezes

She studied the winged creature intently, marveling at the size and the strange fringe on its antennae. She smiled as it swayed in the breeze, mimicking the very leaf it chose as its disguise.

Yet nothing could get past her keen senses. Leaping up from the ground, she caught the creature deftly between her paws, landing gracefully. Though the wings stuck between her sharp teeth, the body was a delightful snack tasting of nectar and Summer. Licking her whiskers satisfactorily, she sauntered past her human, purring with the rhythm of the cicadas.
